Abby Teunissen

Hello! My name is Abby Teunissen and I am so excited to be stepping in as the new Children and Youth Coordinator at RUMC. I have been attending RUMC since I was a little girl, and now enjoy attending weekly with my husband.

I graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, and I have spent the last six years working as a high school English/Theater teacher. In that time, I also went back to CMU and completed my Masters Degree in Curriculum Design and Technology.

When I am not teaching, I love to read books, spend time with my family, and immerse myself in the theater. RUMC was my second home growing up. I was able to grow in my faith through the guidance, love, and support of my church family.

I am honored and excited to be stepping into this role to help guide the youth of today on their faith journeys. I look forward to getting to know everyone in the coming months!
