Jesus and Me Sunday (JAMS)
Jesus and Me Sunday (JAMS) is held on Sunday mornings during the 11:00am worship service. Children ages 4 years old – 5th grade are dismissed from worship after the Children’s Moment for Bible lessons, crafts, games, and activities. All JAMS volunteers are Safe Gatherings Certified meaning they have passed background checks and completed abuse prevention and awareness trainings. Safety and cleanliness are our top priorities so you can worship with full peace of mind while your kids have fun and learn more about God. Our volunteers are ready to welcome you and your family!
Vacation Bible School (Summer 2025)
This year we are going on a road trip! We 
will be learning what it is like to be “On the Go with God”. VBS will run Monday, July 21st through Friday, July 25th from 9:00am – 12:15pm.
VBS Sign Ups: VBS participation is open to all children ages 4 through finishing 5th grade. Registration is available online at https://rockfordumc.org/vbs or there are paper forms available in the Narthex (once completed, please return these to the front office).
VBS Volunteers: We need you! We are looking for “Drivers” to lead the youth from station to station as well as “Tour Guides” to lead the various station activities. Stations include Bible stories, crafts, music, games, missions, snacks, and the sign in and out tables. Interested in helping as a Driver or Tour Guide? Youth Bible Trivia Escape Room and Ice Cream Social
YOUTH: Join us on Thursday, August 7th from 6:00pm – 8:30pm at the church for a night of puzzles and teamwork as groups work together to test their Bible knowledge and escape the room to earn a scrumptious prize! Participation is open for ages 5 – 15. Parents are welcome to join for the ice cream social at the end (8pm). No pre-registration required.
VOLUNTEERS: We are looking for 4-6 adults to help with running the event and serving ice cream. If you are interested in volunteering please reach out to Abby Teunissen in person or via email (childrenandyouth@rockfordumc.org).
