Mary Knapp

Hi! I am Mary Knapp and I serve as the music coordinator.

I conduct RUMC Choir, Hand Bell Choir for 8:45am worship and also serve as the keyboardist in the 11am contemporary service .

I first played the organ at Vernon UMC when I was 16.
I taught piano, sax and flute lesson for 12 years, then worked as an RN for 30 years.
Now retired it is nice to use my first love…music.
I had 4 children in the middle of all that education.
Widowed in 2021, I now live in Rockford with my sister Kathy, my mom Mary, 3 dogs and 7 cats. (Not intentionally)
My hobbies are playing the piano, reading, and macrame.

I am having a blast serving at Rockford UMC.
